Jadi Norris closes the year and kicks off 2011 by collecting donations for F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Helping) at his Elko performances.  “I wanted to get the New Year started on a good foot by reaching out to an organization that feeds and shelters those in need throughout the Elko Community,” says Jadi.  “I hope everyone will come together to celebrate the holiday and help us jump start F.I.S.H. in 2011.”  Soulbilly singer/entertainer, Jadi Norris, is set to perform at Stockmen’s Hotel and Casino Thursday, December 30th through Sunday, January 2nd.

F.I.S.H. is local, non-profit organization that provides for individuals seeking urgent or supplemental food and housing in Elko and surrounding counties in Northeastern Nevada. The organization is currently in need of any non-perishable canned goods, sealed personal hygiene products and winter clothes (hats, socks, gloves, coats, etc.).

Jadi will take the stage to perform hits from his debut project Make Hay which has charted two singles — the current rowdy track Home Is Where the Heart Is, and his patriotic debut Hail the American Soldier.  To further motivate the audience to donate items at his merchandise table, the following rewards will be provided.

Benchmarks

  • 10 items = free autographed CD
  • 20 items = free autographed CD and t-shirt
  • 30 items = Jadi will call anyone you choose to extend a personalized holiday greeting from Jadi live at the table.

Full details on the performance are below.

Date:                Thursday, December 30, 2010 through Sunday, January 2, 2011

Time:                8 PM

Location:          Stockman’s Hotel and Casino

Address:           340 Commercial Street Elko, NV 89801

Jadi’s zealous pursuit of life and the stage has also seen its share of dark periods. A drunk driver nearly claimed his life resulting in countless back surgeries and a body pieced together with titanium. His friends jokingly refer to him as the “Man of Steel.”  That wasn’t his only dark night as a bizarre incident at a hotel would prove to be his most trying situation. While showering, he slipped and fell hitting the soap dish chipping it into an unlikely weapon. It cut deeply into his right (guitar playing) arm hitting an artery. The damage to Jadi’s arm was so severe he was told by multiple doctors that he’d never play guitar again. Undaunted, he hired a guitar player and kept entertaining. For the next three years, through tenacious determination, he re-taught himself to play guitar. Jadi has since graced the stage alongside chart toppers Trace Adkins, Keith Urban, Reba McEntire, Toby Keith and Martina McBride.  For current updates and news, visit www.jadinorris.com.

Great Review from Today’s Country Magazine

MUSIC REVIEWS

http://www.todayscountrymag.com/jadinorriscd.htm

Band: Jadi Norris

ALBUM: “Make Hay”

LABEL: Jumpin Armadillo/IGO

When you really get down to the heart of country music it all comes back to a

song. Not just any song, but a great song. So the question that is often argued is

what is it that makes a song great? The answer although not often a simple one

is, go and give a listen to Jadi Norris’ new album Make Hay and you’ll get the

idea as to what a great song is. This is a singer/songwriter that simply knows

how to write and perform a country song and he shows it throughout this album.

He combines a little bit of everything from the honky-tonk branded sound on

“Borrowed Time” to the modern tinged country rock sounds of today with

“Workin’ Man’s Saturday Night” and “Home Is Where The Heart Is.”

However, the greatness in his songwriting comes when he makes you stop

tapping your feet and presents his ballads. His voice is used to carry you through

great story songs like “Not In Love By Morning” as the heavy lyrics focus on a

woman realizing that her affair with a married man is not at all what she is

looking for in a relationship. When you go out looking for a solid country

album, it is a safe bet that Make Hay will suit your every need. The combination

of solid vocals with great songwriting that brings together modern flare and

traditional influences perfectly is enough to satisfy any fan of the genre.

It’s Christmas time…

Hello everybody-Can you believe that it’s Christmas time already?  This has been one crazy year.  Some of the best times I’ve ever had happened this year and also some that were tough.  If you had told me in August of this year that I would have a Top Ten single I would have thought, “Okay…’preciate it…(never happen).”  But life is full of surprises, no?

Because of YOU, my friends, family, and the REMARKABLE promotion team ( Airplay Specialists, Bill Wence, Jerry Duncan, and Chris Taylor) that works night and day, I get to celebrate the greatest gift a songwriter can have-A TOP TEN SONG!  THANK YOU-THANK YOU-THANK YOU!

Every once and a while I get enough free time to chat with you (my fans) on Facebook, Twitter, and ReverbNation-you always inspire me.  I’m thankful for each of you-when I pray (I don’t care if it’s cool or not, gotta talk with my Father everyday) I thank Him for allowing me to be able to reach you and put a smile on your faces.  You and your support mean so much to me that it can’t really be measured.

I’m looking forward to 2011-I am going out to so many new cities and venues, and the next single is an even BETTER song than “Home…”- actually, the best songs are yet to be released! It’s going to be a year to remember!  Make sure to check www.jadinorris.com for the updated schedule-I’m coming to a city near you!

I hope you all have an abundant Christmas season.  I hope that it is filled with love and that you are able to make great memories, because those memories will be more precious than gold or silver someday.  Thank you for listening and being on board the “MAKE HAY” truck.  !

Merry, Merry Christmas to you all.

 Sincerely,

Jadi

Just got back from the Tucson Community Food Bank-Angie and Maria (from the Fan Club) helped me drop off MY WEIGHT
in food (166 lbs).  The men working there, including Keith (the warehouse man in the forthcoming pictures), were gracious and helpful. What a great feeling…it’s good to help someone who needs and appreciates it.

Thank you all for your contributions in facilitating this new promotion/mission. I guess the plan is now to try to contribute in every city-next stop(s): Pine Top, AZ and on to Elko, NV.

Many thanks, everyone.  More to come shortly…
